The Russia Forum

Several major events are held in Russia which aim to communicate the country’s investment opportunities to representatives of the international business community. One of the leading events is the annual The Russia Forum, which has been organized by Sberbank since 2013.

The Russia Forum has been held in Moscow since 2008. It brings together representatives of many countries who speak different languages and hold many different views, but assemble to discuss pressing global problems and also Russia’s challenges and opportunities. The Russia Forum is a place where new business contacts are formed, collaborative efforts strengthened and interesting joint projects born.

The Forum regularly draws a strong lineup of international business and political leaders, top managers of major Russian/CIS corporations, heads of private companies planning on going public, global investors, and independent experts.

In 2013 the Forum was attended by over 2,200 delegates from more than 40 countries. Taking part in the panel discussions were around 80 prestigious guest speakers such as Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Ivanov, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, Elvira Nabiullina, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation (currently the Head of the Central Bank of Russia), Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Colin Powell, ex-U.S. Secretary of State, and many others.

Press coverage of the Forum was provided by 232 journalists and the event’s media partners included leading Russian and foreign news agencies and television channels, economic and socio-political publications, radio stations, and websites.
